Following the Kumamoto performance on June 28th (Sunday) of the currently ongoing “Grateful Yesterdays Tour 2026,” we have decided to release the tour's setlist within the back number app and hold a listening party.
You can immediately enjoy a selection of songs that capture the excitement and emotion of the live performance.

Formed in Gunma in 2004, centered around Iori Shimizu. After several member changes, the current lineup was established in 2007.
On February 18, 2009, they released their 1st mini-album, "Nogashita Sakana" (The Fish That Got Away). For the first time ever, it was simultaneously selected as a "Tower Records Recommended" item and a "HOT PICKS" item by HMV, resulting in an unprecedented large-scale promotion in stores nationwide. In June 2010, they released their long-awaited 1st full album, "Ato no Matsuri" (Too Late). They established their position with their uniquely poignant lyrics and beautiful melodies that set them apart from others.
Just before their debut, they were selected as one of iTunes' "Japan Sound of 2011," the most promising new artists of 2011. Their major debut single, "Hanabira," released on April 6th, reached 45th place on the Oricon Weekly Chart. Their second single, "Hanataba," released on June 22nd, received 73 airplays on FM stations nationwide and was used as a program ending theme, reaching 18th place on the Oricon Weekly Chart. In October, they released their third single, "Omoidasenakunaru Sono Hi Made," and their first major original album, "Superstar," in quick succession. The album "Superstar" reached 4th place on the Oricon Weekly Chart.
In 2011, their second single, "Hanataba," topped the annual radio airplay charts in the Japanese music category. They also won the Gold Disc Award for Best 5 New Artists and were nominated for the CD Shop Awards. Their nationwide solo tour, consisting of 11 venues (including two additional shows), sold out instantly, as did their additional show at Shibuya Public Hall. Despite being newcomers, they performed at six summer music festivals: "ROCK IN JAPAN," "RISING SUN ROCK FES.," "MONSTER baSH," "SETSTOCK," "HIGHER GROUND," and "TREASURE05X."
In 2012, they released four singles: "Koi," "Nichiyoubi," "Watagashi," and "Aoi Haru." "Nichiyoubi" was used as the theme song for the HBC/TBS drama "Soup Curry," and "Aoi Haru" was used as the theme song for the CX drama "Koko Nyushi," further increasing their popularity. In November, they released their 3rd album "blues," which included these singles. Their subsequent nationwide tour consisted of 19 performances in 17 locations, all of which sold out immediately. Furthermore, their first performance at the Nippon Budokan on September 7, 2013, also sold out immediately, making it a great success.
In 2014, they released their new album "Love Story" on March 26th, which included their 8th single "Takane no Hanako-san" (released June 2013), their 9th single "fish" (released February 2014), and their 10th single "Tsunaida Te kara" (released March 2014), and it has already sold over 120,000 copies!!!! From May, they held their first nationwide hall tour "love stories tour 2014" (20 locations, 21 performances) in support of the album, and all shows sold out immediately!!! The additional shows, two days at Yokohama Arena and one day at Osaka-jo Hall, also sold out immediately, making it a great success.
The single "Heroine," released in January 2015, was used as the theme song for a JR SKISKI commercial; "SISTER," released in May, was used as the theme song for an Otsuka Pharmaceutical Pocari Sweat Ion Water commercial; "Tegami," released in August, was used as the theme song for an NTT Docomo commercial; and "Christmas Song," released in November, was used as the theme song for the Fuji TV Monday 9pm drama "5→9 ~From Five to Nine~," becoming a huge hit. Subsequently, their fifth original album, "Chandelier," topped the Oricon Weekly Chart for two consecutive weeks.
The hall tour, which started in January 2016 and consisted of 27 performances at 26 venues, and the arena tour, which included additional shows at 6 venues and 12 performances from June, all sold out immediately. The single "Boku no Namae wo," released in May, became the theme song for the movie "Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji" and reached number one on the iTunes weekly chart, and the single "Happy End," released in November, garnered attention as the theme song for the movie "Boku wa Ashita, Kinou no Kimi to Date Suru." Then, on December 28th, they released their first best-of album, "Encore," which became a massive hit, selling over 800,000 copies.
In February 2017, they embarked on their largest-scale nationwide arena tour to date, "All Our Yesterdays Tour 2017," which drew 300,000 people. Their song "Mabataki," the theme song for the movie "8-Year Engagement," released in December 2017, became a long-running hit. From July to October, they successfully completed a dome tour consisting of five shows in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, with all venues completely sold out.
Then, following the success of "Old Fashion," the theme song for the TBS Friday drama "Dai Renai ~Boku wo Wasureru Kimi to~" in October 2018, and "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," the theme song for the TBS Tuesday drama "Hajimete Koi o Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi" in January 2019, their 6th original album "MAGIC" became a massive hit, selling over 500,000 copies. The NO MAGIC TOUR 2019, which began in April 2019, was a great success, drawing 350,000 people to 35 performances.
In August 2020, "Suiheisen" (Horizon), a song written for high school students who had aimed to participate in the Inter-High School Championships that were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was chosen as the theme song for the canceled "Reiwa 2nd Year Inter-High School Championships," and became a big topic of conversation as it spread widely on social media, mainly among teenagers.
In October, they released "Emerald," the theme song for the TBS Sunday drama "Kiken na Venus," as a digital single.
In 2021, back number took on the role of songwriter and producer for BTS's new song "Film out," marking their first time providing music for an artist. This garnered attention not only in Japan but also around the world.
"Kaito," which was released digitally in April, was used as the theme song for the NTV Wednesday drama "Koi wa Deep ni" and became a huge hit.
In August, "Suiheisen" (Horizon), which had been released exclusively on YouTube since the previous year, was released digitally on August 13th, the opening day of the 2021 Inter-High School Championships.
In September, they released their 21st single, "Kiiro," which became the theme song for the ABEMA original romance program "Niji to Ookami ni wa Damasarenai" (Don't Be Fooled by Rainbows and Wolf).
In August 2022, they digitally released "Velvet no Uta," the theme song for the movie "Akira to Akira." In October, they digitally released "I Love You," the theme song for the NHK serial drama "Maiagare!". On January 17, 2023, they released their 7th album, "Humor," their first in approximately four years.
Back number's first-ever five-dome tour, "in your humor tour 2023," which began in March and included Sapporo, Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka, was a huge success, selling out immediately.
In August, they released "Kaiju no Size" digitally. In October, they released the Live Blu-ray & DVD "in your humor tour 2023 at Tokyo Dome".
In January 2024, they released the digital single "Fuyu to Haru" (Winter and Spring), and in July, they released "Atarashii Koibitotachi ni" (New Lovers), the theme song for the Fuji TV Monday 9 pm drama "Umi no Hajimari" (The Beginning of the Sea), as a digital single (which was later released on CD as their 22nd single in September).
Starting in August, they will hold their first arena co-headlining tour, "anti sleeps tour 2024," featuring 16 guest artists and consisting of 32 performances in 15 locations nationwide.
In April 2025, they released "Blue Amber," the theme song for the Kansai TV/Fuji TV Monday 10pm drama "From the Day I Stolen You."
In June, she released "Ai wo Komete" (With Love from a Certain Future), the theme song for Mos Burger's new brand commercial, "Eating HAPPY." Furthermore, she wrote a new song, "Maku ga Agaru" (The Curtain Rises), as the theme song for the theatrical film "TOKYO MER ~The Running Emergency Room~ Nankai Mission," which will be released on August 1st.
In December, they released "Doushitemo Doushitemo," the theme song for NHK's winter sports program, as a digital single.
Starting in May 2026, back number will hold their first-ever five-stadium tour, "Grateful Yesterdays Tour 2026," the largest in their history, with nine performances in five locations across Japan. In addition, they have announced their first-ever Asian tour, with performances in Taipei, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
