![]() Yasushi Akimoto Born in Tokyo in 1958. He started to stand out as a scriptwriter in high school and has been involved in the composition of many programs, including "The Best Ten." Since 1983, he has written many hit songs as a lyricist, including Misora Hibari's "Like the Flow of a River." He won the 41st Japan Lyricist Award in 2008, the 54th Japan Record Award "Lyricist Award" in 2012, and the 40th Annie Award "Music Award" in the animated feature category in 2013. He is active in a wide range of fields, including planning and composing TV programs, planning and writing original stories for movies (including the "Tyakushin-ari (Missed Call)" series), planning commercials and games, writing original stories for manga, and serializing in newspapers and magazines. He also serves as the general producer of the national idol group "AKB48 Group" and the "Sakamichi Series," as well as the digital voice actor idol project "22/7." |
