Fanplus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Gen Sato; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which operates fan sites for music artists, has launched a dedicated metaverse space for "FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S," who are celebrating their 20th anniversary, on its metaverse app "FANPLANET" (https://fanplanet.jp/), which is linked to fan clubs.

FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S is a 2MC group from Hachioji, Tokyo, consisting of "Funky Kato" and "Monkichi," who have restarted their activities.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of their major debut, a dedicated metaverse space has been created within "FANPLANET," a fan club-linked metaverse app that goes beyond traditional browser-based fan sites, serving as a new platform for interaction and connection with fans.

A school reminiscent of the nostalgic official fan club "Sarugaku," which ended with the group's disbandment in 2013, has been constructed within the metaverse!
Within the school, you can enjoy interacting with member avatars and fan site content such as videos, as well as experience a new kind of "coexistence" where the real and digital worlds blend together through "listening parties" where you can share music.
Through the "space" of the metaverse, core members can gather using avatars and enjoy immersive communication that differs from traditional browser-based interactions.

To celebrate the opening, we will be giving away original metaverse items, such as official supporter T-shirts and emotes that recreate classic actions from Funky Monkey Babys' live shows, exclusively to members of the "FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S OFFICIAL FANCLUB".
Furthermore, as part of our Web3.0 project, we have started selling avatar items linked to the world of FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S on the entertainment marketplace "Fanpla Market".
These items can be obtained using the cryptocurrency "FPL Token". The experience on FANPLANET and the digital items on Fanpla Market are linked, and music and fashion intersect to provide a new experience that expands fans' "expression" more freely.

[FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S Profile]
This 2MC group, originally from Hachioji, Tokyo, has restarted with two members, "Funky Kato" and "Monkichi."
The group's predecessor, FUNKY MONKEY BABYS, was a three-member group consisting of 2 MCs and 1 DJ, including "DJ Chemical," formed on New Year's Day 2004. They made their major debut in January 2006 with the single "Sono Mama Higashi e," and released numerous hit songs such as "Kokuhaku," "Hero," and "Ato Hitotsu," achieving three consecutive number one albums on the Oricon Weekly Ranking. In June 2013, at the height of their popularity, the group disbanded at the Tokyo Dome, a dream stage for them, bringing to an end their approximately 10 years of activity.
Approximately eight years after their disbandment, the group reunited for one night only on March 11, 2021, on TBS's "Ongaku no Hi" (Music Day), with all three members in their original lineup.
In the same month, alongside his solo activities, Funky Kato and Monkichi announced the formation of "Funky Monkey Babys," a duo project.
They will be relaunching under the new name "FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S".
Since September 2025, they have been holding a nationwide tour, "FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S 20th Anniversary TOUR ~Just Like That, East and West~," to commemorate their 20th anniversary since their major debut.
Furthermore, on June 20th and 21st, they will hold their first joint live concert with Ikimonogakari, who are also celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, titled "FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S × Ikimonogakari 20th Anniversary Joint Live ~That Day's Promise Turns 20!!~" (at Tokyo Garden Theater).
