Fanplus Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Motoshi Sato), which operates fan sites for music artists, is pleased to announce the opening of the official website for the timeless music IP project "DATE WARS."

We are pleased to announce the launch of the timeless music IP project "DATE WARS," which will breathe new life into classic songs from the 1970s to the 2000s by weaving a story through original songs, cover songs, and drama tracks.

The original story and overall producer of this project is Yuichiro Momose, a novelist and screenwriter who worked on "Hypnosis Mic," with character design by manga artist Hanaharu Naruko and music produced by video creator and music critic Mino. The story tells of prisoners who bear the sins of their ancestors and use music to seize their freedom.
Additionally, 14 voice actors, including Hina Hitsujimiya, Miharu Hanai, and Anna Nagase, will be participating. Each team will be divided into four different eras (1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s), and will battle while performing songs to advance the story of this project.
The cover songs are selected from classics from each era. Arranged by a team of cutting-edge creators, they retain the atmosphere of the era while elevating it to modern times.

Going forward, "Date Wars" will continue to focus on music, and will aim for a "360° IP development" through content distribution on YouTube channels, social media, and fan clubs, as well as through comics, anime, app games, live performances, movies, and stage plays. This is the story of prisoners who, burdened with the sins of their ancestors, seize freedom.
A time far in the future when AI intelligence surpasses that of humans.
The world was united by an organization called Einstürzende Neubauten (destruction, order, collapse and new construction).
The death penalty has been abolished, and criminals are now sentenced to over 100 million yen in prison, and even after their death, their descendants are confined to a prison called the "Damned" (for the eternally cursed) to serve out their sentences.

In this world, music is a more powerful weapon than heavy artillery. The more famous a song is, the more powerful its attack.
A variety of famous songs were stolen by a terrorist group called "Birthday: The Garden of Possibilities."
"Birthday" travels back in time and uses famous songs to alter the past, attempting to create a timeline in which the Einstürzende Neubauten do not unify the world. To stop this, the State Cultural Security Agency's special collection unit, "The Timeless Travelers," made up of prisoners held captive by the Damned, is tasked with capturing "Birthday" and retrieving the famous songs.
Prisoners serving outrageous sentences use recovered music to win amnesty battles and reduce their sentences.
He throws himself into the fight to seize freedom.
