Fanplus Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Motoshi Sato), which operates fan sites for music artists, and Weverse Japan Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Moon Ji-soo), which operates the global superfan platform "Weverse" in Japan, are pleased to announce that as part of a new initiative to help Japanese artists gain global fans, they have linked the IDs of the fan club operated by Fanplus and Weverse, and that this has been adopted by Mrs. GREEN APPLE's official fan club, "Ringo Jam," as of Wednesday, April 30th.

As overseas concerts and festivals are once again becoming more popular after the COVID-19 pandemic, Japanese artists are accelerating their overseas expansion. Even in the past year, global activities have been expanding one after another, including large-scale world tours that visit countries around the world and attract tens of thousands of people, and live tours mainly in Asia.
This trend is spreading across all music genres, and now "how to reach global fans and deepen relationships" has become an important pillar of artist strategies. Furthermore, interest in Japanese music, artists, and fan culture is on the rise worldwide, making now the perfect time for artists looking to make a global impact to establish a foothold in that field.
In this trend, Weverse, which is used by over 10 million global users every month, is a highly effective platform for Japanese artists to connect with global fans. Weverse provides artists and fans with all the services necessary for fandom activities, such as commerce, live streaming, various subscription services such as digital membership, and listening parties, allowing them to enjoy an expanded fan experience. Currently, in addition to Mrs. GREEN APPLE, over 160 artists from around the world, including BTS, BLACKPINK, and Dua Lipa, have opened official communities.
By adopting this ID linking, artists who have fan clubs operated by Fanplus can set up a path to join their existing fan clubs on the official Weverse community, allowing Weverse users to enjoy fan club content through their Weverse Account.

This initiative is not just a way for Japanese artists to meet new fans, but also aims to build a path that can guide global fans to fan clubs, which are the hub of ongoing relationships, and strengthen the "foundation" of fandom. It is an effective measure for visualizing global fans and determining future strategies.
Fanplus and Weverse Japan will continue to leverage the strengths of both companies to provide comprehensive support for the global expansion of Japanese artists.

Weverse currently operates approximately 160 official communities for domestic and international artists and audition programs. After acquiring Naver's V LIVE division and introducing the "Weverse LIVE" function in July 2022, the new Weverse plans to evolve into a "fandom life platform" that makes global fandom culture newer and more convenient through continuous service advancement.
