<Profile>
This idol group was formed in Sakae, Nagoya in July 2008 as the first step in the nationwide expansion of AKB48, which is based in Akihabara, Tokyo. It was named SKE48 (SKE48) from the initials of its home base, Sakae (SAKAE). It became the forerunner of the 48 Project, which was later expanded throughout Japan and the world.
Each day, S, KII, and E teams and their trainees perform performances consisting of singing, dancing, and talk at the SKE48 THEATER on the second floor of SUNSHINE SAKAE, an entertainment building in Sakae, Nagoya, whose symbol is a Ferris wheel.
The 34th single, "Tick tack zack", will be released on March 12, 2025.
