Fanplus Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Motoshi Sato), which operates fan sites for music artists, and Dear U plus Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ryo Yamauchi), which handles the Japanese business of the globally expanding Korean fan communication app "Dear U bubble" (hereinafter referred to as "bubble"), are pleased to announce that the Japanese version of the app, "bubble for JAPAN," will be launched on June 4th, and that Mrs. GREEN APPLE will be the first Japanese band to participate.
Overview of "bubble"
"Bubble" is a communication app developed by the Korean company Dear U, which allows fans to enjoy a private message-like experience just between them and the artist. The company is developing a fandom business that represents Korea with the cooperation of major agencies, including SM Studios, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, and JYP ENTERTAINMENT, which has also invested in the company.
A major feature of "bubble" is that it is not a chatbot, but rather receives casual everyday messages sent by artists themselves, and fans can reply to them. With a user-friendly UI like a typical chat app, fans can experience being connected to artists as if they were friends, which increases the sense of immersion and intimacy with the service.
In Korea, over 120 agencies, over 200 groups, and over 600 artists, actors, talents, and athletes have been introduced to the service, and global artists with large fanbases in Japan are using it to communicate in real time with fans around the world, successfully increasing engagement with each individual fan and building a strong fandom.
In addition, the company is actively expanding overseas, and the app is available in over 200 countries, supporting Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian. It has garnered support from entertainment fans on a global scale, and has grown into a popular app service with an average quarterly subscription ticket count of over 2 million.
"Bubble for JAPAN" targets a wide range of IPs, including artists, talents, and actors. The participation of EXIT from the comedy world, talents Rino Sashihara, Nicole Fujita, Chinatsu Wakatsuki, and world-famous musician MIYAVI has been decided as ambassadors.
In addition, Imamura Mizuki from idol group SKE48 has also been confirmed to participate.
