Fanplus Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Motoshi Sato), which operates fan sites for music artists, has launched the web3 Project in collaboration with Fanpla Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takemitsu Hirai; hereinafter referred to as "Fanpla"), aiming to create a "Direct to Fan" economic zone that connects artists and creators directly with their fans. Fanpla is pleased to announce that it has signed a consignment sales agreement with Coincheck Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Satoshi Hasuo; hereinafter referred to as "Coincheck") in preparation for the IEO (Initial Exchange Offering, hereinafter referred to as "IEO"), with Fanpla as the issuer.

IEO is a mechanism for the sale of new crypto assets, with cryptocurrency exchanges taking the lead in screening applications in accordance with Japanese laws and regulations. Five IEOs have been conducted in Japan so far, and Coincheck has conducted two, including the first IEO in Japan, on its IEO platform, Coincheck IEO.

This IEO is being carried out in collaboration with Fanpla, a wholly owned subsidiary of MUP Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koichiro Bito; hereinafter, MUP Holdings Co., Ltd.), with Fanpla in charge of issuing and selling new crypto assets and Fanpla acting as the issuer, aiming to issue tokens that will be circulated among the more than 300 fan clubs and fan sites operated by our company and the more than 2.5 million paid members. In addition, Emoote Pte. Ltd. (CEO: Yuji Kumagai; Co-founder and researcher: comugi), which continues to lead web3 business creation globally through fund management specializing in the web3 field, will participate in the issuer team as a partner.

This IEO is part of a project promoted by our company and Fanpla, which aims to create a "Direct to Fan" economic sphere that directly connects artists/creators with their fans. The project aims to create a new platform for "supporting artists" that brings together both content creators and content enjoyers, and to create an economic sphere using web3 digital technology.

In order to create a new place for fans to support their favorite artists, we are also planning to hold a "Music Awards" where the artist with the most fan enthusiasm will be selected. Compared to previous awards, this will allow fans to actively participate and will be an awards that are closer to both the fans and the artists. We are also planning and developing various other experiences.
